Today study Yes/No questions and Tag questions.

Yes/No Questions
1.We put “mái”, “rúplàaw”, “rú mâi”, rú yang at the end of sentences.
2.To answer Yes-No questions, the verb or auxiliary verb in the question is repeated for an affirmative answer or negated in a negative answer.
3.The following examples summarizesanswer forms used for different types of questions.

A: pai mái Go?
B: pai (Yes) mâi pai (No)
A: kin rú plàaw Eat?
B: kin (Yes) mâi kin (No)
A: jà pai rú mâi Go or not?
B: (jà) pai (Yes) (jà) mâi pai (No)
A: tham rú yang Done yet?
B: (jà) tham (Yes)
tham lέεw (Already done)
yang mâi tham (Not yet)
yang (Not yet)

Tag Question
1.Put “châi mái”, “châi rú plaàw” at the end of sentence.

2. Use “châi”, or “mâi châi”  as key words to answer.

A: chɔɔ̂p châi mái (Like it. Right?)
B: châi (Yes), mâi châi (No)
A: suú sûa châi rú plaàw
(Buy a shirt. Right? )
B: châi (Yes) mâi châi (No)
